Auto Re-issuing a Card

The Auto Re-issuing a Card page allows you to automatically replace the lost, stolen, or damaged card for the client.

 

To automatically re-issue a card to the client:

 

In the Case Information - Card Tab page:

1.      The following fields automatically populate in the Current Card Information section:

o       Card # with the PAN number embossed on the EBT card.

o       Card Status with Active or Inactive (State determines).

o       Issue Date with the current date.

o       Cash Restrictions with None (may default to ATM Only or POS Only depending on your State’s business rules).

o       # Permanent Cards Issued increases by 1 to track the number of cards issued to a client.

o       Mailing Indicator with Client (State determines).

o       Last Updated with the date and time the card was replaced.

o       Updated By with the ID of the user who replaced the card.

The Card Fee Amount (determined by the State) and the Benefit to Charge fields display in the Case Information - Card Tab page only if your State charges a fee to replace a client’s card.

2.      Change the card status by selecting the appropriate value from the drop-down list next to the Card Status field.

3.      Click the Update button. The Card tab displays with the auto-generated card number and the appropriate message as below:

a.     PIN does not carry over (card auto re-issued as Inactive):

The card was successfully replaced. A new card has been auto-reissued and the new information is displayed below. Change the Card Status to Active and click Update to activate the Issue PIN button in the PIN information section below. Select the method of issuing the PIN and click issue PIN.

b.     PIN does not carry over (card auto re-issued as Active):

The card was successfully replaced. A new card has been auto-reissued and the new information is displayed below. Select the method of issuing the PIN and click Issue PIN in the PIN Information section below. Select the method of issuing the PIN and click issue PIN.

c.      PIN carries over (card auto re-issued Active or Inactive):

The card was successfully replaced. A new card has been auto-reissued and the new information is displayed below.
