The Case # term indicates a unique number, assigned by the State, under which authorized program benefits are provided to a client. This term displays as the Case # field in the Case Information section of the Case Information - Benefit Tab, Case Information - Card Tab, Case Information - Case Tab, and Case Information - Client Tab pages.

In some states, multiple agencies administer benefits to their clients. If a client is eligible for benefits from multiple agencies, the client has multiple cases. A separate case number is issued for each agency administering benefits to a client. |
