Method

The Method field is a value that indicates how a PIN is selected when a client is issued a new/replacement card or requests their PIN changed. Values are:

Description
ARU Cardholder calls the Automated Response Unit (ARU) to select their PIN using a control number.
Mailer Sent Cardholder's PIN is automatically generated by webADMIN for over-the-counter states, and is sent by mail to the client's address on record.
POS Cardholder must come to the local office and select their PIN using a POS terminal and PIN pad.

None

No PIN was selected.

Unknown

Method of PIN selection is not available.

Web

The PIN is issued to the cardholder through the EBT Web portal.

·          The ARU and POS values display in the drop-down list only if your State uses these methods of PIN selection.

·          If the Mailer Sent value is selected, the PIN is automatically issued and mailed to the client the next business day.

·          States that use one-call PIN select do not use the Issue PIN function.
